The disorder 'epilepsy' has had 100's of names over the centuries. Most of them start with the Latin word 'Morbus'.
It has been referred to as 'Morbus Demoniacus', or the 'Demon's Disease'. A few hundred years later, it was referred to as 'Morbus Sacer', or the 'Sacred Disease'. Disregarding epilepsy altogether, I chose to title this piece 'The Sacred Disease'.
