Description
The Powerscourt House and Gardens in Ireland has an extensive history. It is located in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, Ireland. It covers 47 acres!
Although today it's famous for the massive and wonderfully landscaped gardens, it was originally built as a castle in the 13th century. It now includes golf courses, restaurants and a Ritz Carlton Hotel.
It had burnt down in 1974 and was renovated in 1996.
A fact that enhances its majestic existence: there's a mile-long avenue of beech trees that leads to the entrance of the house. It's been through many renovations and its history is filled with interesting facts. This website shares more information:
